Mini Rituals for Mum

A 5-minute autumnal self-care practice to ground, restore, and uplift.

As the golden tones of autumn settle in, the pace of life can feel both beautiful and busy—especially for mum’s who are often at the heart of it all. Whether you’re juggling the school run, home routines, work, or simply holding space for those around you, we invite you to take just five minutes for yourself.

This gentle ritual is a small yet powerful way to reconnect with your body, calm the mind, and nourish your emotional space using the support of essential oils.

Your 5-Minute Ritual

1. Find Your Moment
Early morning before the house wakes, that quiet pause after school, or just before bed—choose a time that feels easeful.

2. Choose Your Oil
Select a heart-nourishing or grounding oil:
Geranium for balance, reducing stress and regulating the endocrine system.
Roman Chamomile to settle, easing tension, anxiety and diminishing pain.
Damask Rose to purify, lifts the heart to allow love in for emotional healing.
Neroli to settle, soothe and calm the nervous system while uplifting the soul.

3. Inhale with Intention
Place a drop in your palms or diffuse nearby. Breathe gently for 3 slow rounds. Let the scent settle your thoughts.

4. Place Hands on Heart
Close your eyes, gently place your hands on your heart, and feel your breath. Let any tension soften. You might say silently: “This moment is for me.”

5. Move Gently Forward
Whether you’re heading to rest or back into your day, move forward feeling just a little more centred.

Even small acts of care can have a ripple effect. When you nurture yourself, you model stillness, strength, and self-love for those around you.

Share this ritual with a friend or mother-figure who might need it—or simply keep it as a gentle reminder to pause and come back to yourself.
