The Scent & Cycle sequence, applied to skin
Winter leaves the skin dry, tight and a little dulled, holding on to heaviness the way the season held on to cold. Then spring arrives all at once: warmth returns, UV strengthens, oil production shifts, and skin that spent months conserving now needs to breathe again, brighten again, remember its own resilience. It is a volatile handover, and it asks for a considered one in return.
So we follow the same five-key Scent & Cycle sequence we use everywhere else in this practice, this time turned toward the face: PURIFY, REJUVENATE, ENERGISE, BALANCE, SETTLE. Each key finds its oil in our summer range, chosen with the same botanical intelligence we bring to any blend, never for fragrance alone but for what the chemistry actually does on skin meeting a new season.
1. PURIFY: Lemon Myrtle
The oil that teaches skin to clear its own way.
Lemon Myrtle carries a high citral content, and it is that single compound that gives it such precise clarifying intelligence: bright, antimicrobial, pore-attentive. On skin still shedding winter’s congestion, it works like morning light through a window left shut too long, brightening tone and encouraging the complexion to release what it no longer needs before summer heat arrives.

Morning Clarity Facial Oil
30ml dropper bottle, 1% dilution. For daily morning use, cleansed skin only.
Ingredient Amount: Jojoba oil28ml, Rosehip oil2ml, Lemon Myrtle 6 drops
Warm two drops between the palms and press, do not rub, into freshly cleansed skin each morning, letting the citrus note settle before the day begins.
2. REJUVENATE: Mandarin
The oil that brings colour back to tired skin.
Mandarin is gentle enough for the most reactive spring complexion, and it is exactly that gentleness paired with its circulation-supporting monoterpenes that makes it the season’s rejuvenator. It coaxes sluggish surface blood flow back to life and lifts a greyed winter tone toward something warmer, without ever overstating itself on sensitive skin newly exposed to stronger light.

Rosewater Radiance Mist
100ml glass spritz bottle, 0.5% dilution. Mist over face and décolletage, any time skin needs lifting.
Ingredient Amount: Distilled water 85ml, Witch hazel 14ml, Mandarin8 drops
Shake gently, close the eyes, and mist in a slow arc across the face, letting the citrus settle like a held breath released.
3. ENERGISE: Spike Lavender
The oil that wakes the face up before the day does.
Spike Lavender is a more stimulating cousin to the lavender most people know, its higher camphor and cineole content built for circulation and clearing rather than calm. On skin still moving slowly out of winter, it is the oil that meets sluggish morning puffiness and congestion directly, encouraging the kind of surface movement summer mornings ask for.

Awakening Eye & Temple Roll-On
10ml roller bottle, 1% dilution. Roll along temples and under brow bone each morning, avoiding the eye itself.
Ingredient Amount: Sweet almond oil 9.8ml, Spike Lavender 2 drops
Roll from inner temple outward in one unhurried pass, then rest the palms over the eyes for three breaths before the day begins.
4. BALANCE: Myrtle Rose
The oil that steadies a complexion in flux.
Myrtle Rose sits between floral and green, and that duality is its therapeutic signature: soothing enough for hormonal skin, balancing enough to hold oil production steady as it shifts with the season. It is the oil for the combination skin spring produces, dry in patches and reactive in others, asking not to be corrected but to be evened out.

Evening Equilibrium Balm
50ml jar, 1.5% dilution. Warm between fingertips and press into skin as the last step of an evening ritual.
Ingredient Amount: Shea butter 30g, Jojoba oil 19ml, Myrtle Rose 15 drops
Press gently into cheeks, jaw and throat with upward strokes, letting the balm melt fully before sleep takes over.
5. SETTLE: Buddha Wood
The oil that teaches skin to release.
Buddha Wood is the vetiver of the summer range, deeply grounding and stabilising where the other four keys move and brighten. Its resinous, woody depth slows the whole ritual down, closing the sequence the way the last note of a chord resolves it, and gives skin the stillness it needs to actually absorb everything the season is asking it to do.

Grounding Night Serum
15ml dropper bottle, 1% dilution. Final step before sleep, pressed rather than rubbed in.
Ingredient Amount: Rosehip oil 14.7ml, Buddha Wood: 3 drops
Press two drops into the palms, cup the face, and breathe the resin note in for three slow counts before closing the ritual for the night.
The Spring Edit: What to Remove, What to Add
Spring is not about abandoning everything winter gave the skin. It is about knowing when to lighten the ritual and respond to what the new season is asking for.
Leave Winter Behind: Heavy, occlusive night creams. Dense, richly buttered balms as daytime skincare. Slow, stagnant morning routines. Single Purpose winter treatments. Rushed or unfinished evening rituals
Welcome Spring In: Lightweight facial oils with Lemon Myrtle to purify and clarify. Mandarin-infused hydrating mists to refresh and lift. Spike Lavender roll-ons to awaken and energise. Rose Myrtle balms to help balance skin as it shifts with the season. Buddha Wood serum to settle, ground and close the day.
The shift is simple: less weight, more movement; less correction, more balance.
Lemon Myrtle purifies.
Mandarin rejuvenates.
Spike Lavender energises.
Myrtle Rose balances.
Buddha Wood settles.
Five keys. Five oils. One seasonal ritual – guiding winter skin gently into its own spring light.
