SUMMER has arrived and with it an abundance of expansive expression.  There is an explosion of lush trees, flowers and fruit blossoming and the heat of the summer sun is coming into its full expression.

While spring was a period of renewal and rebirth, summer is a time for expansion, growth, creativity and whole-hearted action; a manifestation of all that we have been cultivating through spring.

The transition from spring to summer is fully marked by the Summer Solstice on December 21st.  Summer is the most Masculine of the seasons. It is a perfect time to grow in our spiritual awareness, as we find joy in the hot days and warm nights of summer. Imbalances that may occur at this time include a lack of joy, depression.

The heart centre is in the middle of the body and helps to integrates opposites in the psyche – mind and body, male and female, our persona and our true self.

Summer is an ideal time to be sensitive and find expression, be true to yourself and find fulfillment and equilibrium between the heart and mind. Expressing enthusiasm and warmth into human relationships over the festive season, with meaningful relationships and conscious awareness is our reward.

Eating cooling, soothing seasonal plant-based foods that clear heat such as avocado, lemon, kiwifruit, strawberries, watermelon, asparagus, alfalfa, celery, cucumber, peppermint, plenty of green salads, kale, spinach.   1. 10ml essential oil blend to scinc with summer relieves stress and anxiety, centres and calms. It’s crisp citrus scent uplifts, clears the head, helps a tired mind and aids concentration. The high vitamin C content of  Tangerine and Lime activate, tone and nourish the veins, purify the blood, boost circulation and release toxins. Cold Pressed Shea butter is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F and offers a mild sun protection factor; it is rich in fats to help dry and ageing skin and has anti-inflammatory properties. Sweet Almond, Grapeseed and Rice Bran Oil improve skin tone, maintains softness and radiance with it’s high omega 3, antioxidants, Vitamin A, C and E content. Pomegranate seed oil actively stimulates the cells to help skin regeneration, reducing skin damage.

Usage Tips: After your daily shower, pat your body dry with a towel, leaving a little moisture on your skin so your skin is not completely dry. Apply body butter to skin in a gentle circular motion, pay special attention to elbows, knees, hands and feet, as these areas are prone to dryness. You can also use the Body Butter at any time of day or before bed.

3. 100ml cleansing foot scrub helps to get your summer glow on, as it rejuvenates, refreshes, uplifts and unwinds, boosts immunity, helps respiration, digestion and hormone balance.  A mix of Chia seeds, Dead Sea, Epsom and Himalayan salts to hydrate, moisturise, soothe and improve the skins barrier function.
